Nabil M. Orina is a legal scholar with focus on constitutional law, international law, criminal law, and arbitration. He is an expert in the international criminal justice system and often represents clients before international criminal tribunals and international courts. He acted as an assisting defence counsel representing one of the accused persons in the Kenyan post-election violence cases at the International Criminal Court (ICC) at The Hague. He is a zealous arbitrator and mediator with experience in resolving commercial disputes. He also served as a consultant for the Judiciary Working Committee on Elections in the run-up to the 2013 Kenyan General Elections and as a member of the Judiciary Technical Committee that produced the Bench-book on Criminal Procedure.

As a founding partner of the firm and now consultant, Nabil regularly consults for the firm’s dispute resolution department and leads the legal consultancy team.

Nabil holds a Ph.D. in law and has published on a range of legal topics including human rights and counter-terrorism, international law and international criminal law. He is a lecturer at Moi University School of Law
